Larry Keiter, second vice president of Ameritas talent strategy, is responsible for all aspects of enterprise talent strategy, including talent acquisition, onboarding, development and succession management. The focus throughout his career has been to realize and demonstrate an individual’s value to an organization. Larry believes the power of one positive attitude and individual leadership are key to the success of the organization.

Prior to his current role at Ameritas, Larry served as the second vice president of talent development. He was responsible for all aspects of enterprise associate development, including change management initiatives. He also worked as the director of organizational and leadership development. In this role, Larry focused on building bench strength and succession management, including executive development and the Ameritas Leadership Academy. Finally, he was the manager of organizational and leadership development for Ameritas retirement plans.

Before working at Ameritas, Larry was the executive vice president and partner of Leadership Resources, a locally owned and operated organization focused on helping individuals and organizations achieve a higher level of success. He also served as chairman of the board for the Nebraska Retail Federation and worked for Walmart for 20 years, ending his time there as a store and district manager.

Larry received his Bachelor of Science in business and finance from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and an MBA in strategic management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
