Kirsten Krug enters her 15th season with the Chiefs in 2023 and her fourth year as the club’s Executive Vice President of Administration after being promoted to the position on March 23, 2021. In the position, Krug is responsible for overseeing all facets of human resources for the club, including benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, compensation analysis, training and special projects. She also oversees the club's Player Services Department, which includes the team's Player Engagement staff as well as the Vice President of Player Services and Assessment. Those departments are designed to assist players, coaches and staff members in making positive contributions to the Chiefs and the NFL by using various resources to help prepare individuals for life after football, including career placement and financial guidance. In addition, the Team Historian role reports to her.

In 2022, Krug was appointed to serve on the NFL Employee Benefit Committee. The Committee is responsible for administering club and league benefit plans. The NFL Investment Committee was established in 2003 as a separate entity to oversee the assets of the retirement plans. The Committee is responsible for all other areas including plan design and amendment, benefit and administrative expense payments and employee eligibility issues.

Prior to being named the Executive Vice President of Administration, Krug served as the Chiefs Vice President of Administration for nine years (2012-20) and as Director of Human Resources for two years (2010-11). Before beginning her NFL career, she spent more than 13 years as the Director of Human Resources and Training for Amarr Garage Doors, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of residential and commercial garage doors. While there, she managed all aspects of human resources and training for the more than 600 employees that made up Amarr’s workforce.
